Heat Pump Repair Part
When the Heating and Cooling guy did my annual Heat Pump inspection, he told me that the old start capacitor for my heat pump was deteriorating and that it needed replacement. He told me that just the part was going to cost $218 and that installation charges would be on top of that. So I started shopping and I found this direct replacement part for $14.19 and I got free shipping too. After watching a couple of YouTube videos on heat pump capacitor replacement, I was ready. I changed out my part in about five minutes. The YouTube videos stress safety in making this repair and these safety aspects should not be overlooked.. Everything went well. My heat pump has worked just fine ever since. I am pleased with this part. It is doing exactly what it was supposed to do.

Replacing the capacitor in your air conditioner is quite easy. Look it up on YouTube. The AC repairman might charge you $200+ for this exact same part (and $500 for the total service call).

I looked on YouTube and learned If i had to kickstart the fan it was the capacitor so I opened it up and found the mouse had walked across it electrocuting himself making the capacitor faulty. Memorial Day madness!
My AC capacitor went out on Memorial Day, go figure. YouTube and Amazon seem to be my lifesaver. I watched a video to diagnose my issue and came to the conclusion that my capacitor went bad. No place to go on Memorial Day to get one without spending a fortune. I ordered this one and paid the extra 4 dollars to have it shipped a day faster. Easy to replace and it was my exact issue. I feel like my AC is working better than it has the past few years. So far this capacitor is holding up and doing a great job. 5 stars in my book.
